In this course you will learn not just how to light paint but you will learn what looks good, what tools work well, what camera settings to use. We will examine many different techniques and visit different locations.

These are some examples of what you can do with light painting and very little post processing.

Light painting is an exciting photographic technique using various light sources to create long exposure photographs.

  • In this course you will learn about light painting, the process of adding artificial lighting to a long exposure image. This course is suitable for beginners, through to more advanced photographers
  • You will learn about lighting levels, exposure, focusing in dark locations, shutter speed, white balance and various techniques of night time photography.

All you need is a digital camera (ideally SLR)  with full manual controls, a sturdy tripod and lots of memory space.

Course includes location shoots.
